a token standard written into zcash itself — no smart contracts, no bridges to trust, just raw data committed to the chain.
magic zcash assets (mza) is an inscription token standard on zcash. instead of deploying contracts, tokens are defined by inscribing structured metadata directly into transactions.
every mza lives on-chain as raw data — permanent, censorship-resistant, and readable by any indexer that speaks the standard.
users launch tokens on robinhood chain, then inscribe the robinhood token metadata to convert it into an mza on zcash. the inscription binds the token's identity — name, ticker, supply, artwork — to a zcash transaction.
once inscribed, the token exists on zcash as a first-class magic asset, traceable back to its robinhood origin.
inscriptions are committed as raw data inside the op_return field of a zcash transaction. op_return is provably unspendable, which makes it a clean, prunable anchor for arbitrary data without bloating the utxo set.
the metadata payload follows the magic format: a protocol tag, a version byte, and the serialized robinhood token record. indexers scan op_return outputs, verify the tag, and reconstruct the mza ledger.
zcash offers a battle-tested chain with optional shielded transfers. mza inscriptions ride the transparent layer for open verification, while the shielded pool stays available for private settlement of the assets that follow.
low fees and predictable finality make inscribing cheap enough for launches of any size.
payload layout: "magic" tag · version · action (deploy / mint / transfer) · token metadata (ticker, supply, decimals, image) · optional origin proof referencing the source robinhood token.
the format is intentionally minimal — small enough to fit a single op_return output, expressive enough to describe a full token lifecycle.
anyone can verify the mza state independently: scan zcash blocks, filter op_return outputs for the magic tag, apply actions in order. there is no privileged party and no contract to trust — consensus over the inscriptions is the ledger.
the launchpad indexer will publish the canonical token list at launch, alongside an open spec so third parties can build their own readers.
note: mza is an experimental standard under active development. the spec above describes the launch design and may evolve before mainnet. inscriptions are permanent — never inscribe data you are not prepared to publish forever.
whitelist spots are still open — 3 quick steps on x and your zec address is all it takes.
